50 Years of Growing Apples
Bill Kilpatrick and his business partner Bon Hicks planted the farm’s first apple trees in 1976. Fifty years later, we’re celebrating with two weekends of apple treats, live bluegrass and family traditions at The Apple Barn.

Festival food is available during festival hours. Hand-pressed cider demonstrations, kids activities and a petting zoo will also be part of the festival. Fruit growing specialist Dave Lockwood will be on site both weekends. Missy Jones of Mountain Cookin’ with Missy will sign books Friday and Saturday of the first weekend and Friday through Sunday of the second weekend.
